Summer Projects: Cost, Dates, Locations


Bay Harbor, MI

Summer Projects partners with the Inn at Bay Harbor in Bay Harbor, MI. Students will be paid in accord with normal Bay Harbor pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. Lodging for this location is in Boyne Falls, MI (same facility as Boyne Mountain). 

Contracted work: June 1st – August 10th, host 50 students.

Boyne Mountain, MI

Summer Projects partners with Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, MI. Students will be paid in accord with normal Boyne Mountain pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: June 1st - August 10th, host 70 students.

Big Sky, MT

Summer Projects partners with the Big Sky Resort in Big Sky, MT. Students will be paid in accord with normal Big Sky pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. Lodging for this location is in the resort. 

Contracted work: June 1st – August 5th, host 90 students.

Jackson Lake, CA

This location partners with Camp Lolek in Jackson Lake, CA (just outside Wrightwood). Students will be given a stipend of $2,250. Camp Lolek offers a wide array of jobs all pertinent to the running of a vibrant, successful summer camp. Further, this is our FOCUS most “missional” Summer Project. That is, jobs at this location are specifically oriented to advancing the gospel by building young men and women in the faith. Camp Lolek is a Catholic summer camp grounded in the thought of Pope Saint John Paul II. Food and lodging are provided. 

Contracted work: June 6th – August 12th, host 30 students.

St. Simons Island, GA

Summer Projects partners with The Sea Island Resort in St. Simons, Georgia. Students will be paid in accord with normal Sea Island pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: June 1st – August 8th, host 70 students.

Cost

Students must fundraise $2,600 to participate, which covers the cost of the formation program. Once you’re accepted into the program, you’ll be contacted by a missionary Fundraising Coach who will help you raise the amount needed. (Students also receive pay from the contracted businesses for their work throughout the summer.)
