Summer Projects: Cost, Dates, Locations


Acadia National Park, ME (Open)

Summer Projects partners with the Ortega Inc. hospitality at Acadia National Park. Students will be paid in accord with normal Ortega pay schedules. All jobs are in hospitality. Food and lodging are provided.

Contracted work: May 25th - August 10th, host 20 students.

St. Simons Island, GA (Open)

Summer Projects partners with The Sea Island Resort in St. Simons, Georgia. Students will be paid in accord with normal Sea Island pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: May 25th – August 10th, host 60 students.

Boyne Mountain, MI (Closed)

Summer Projects partners with Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, MI. Students will be paid in accord with normal Boyne Mountain pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: June 1st - August 10th, host 50 students.

Bay Harbor, MI (Closed)

Summer Projects partners with the Inn at Bay Harbor in Bay Harbor, MI. Students will be paid in accord with normal Bay Harbor pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. Lodging for this location is in Boyne Falls, MI (same facility as Boyne Mountain). 

Contracted work: June 1st – August 10th, host 50 students.

Harbor Springs, MI - GREEK (Closed)

Summer Projects partners with Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, MI. Students will be paid in accord with normal Boyne Highlands pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: June 1st - August 10th, host 40 students.  

Colorado Springs, CO (Closed)

This location partners with The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. Students will be paid in accord with normal Broadmoor pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: May 25th – August 10th, host 60 students.

Colorado Springs, CO - Quarter System (Open)

This location partners with The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. Students will be paid in accord with normal Broadmoor pay schedules. Most jobs are in hospitality with a limited number of exceptions. Lodging is provided including a kitchen, and students will be compensated more than enough to cover food costs. 

Contracted work: June 30th – September 10th, host 25 students.

Jackson Lake, CA (Closed)

This location partners with Camp Lolek in Jackson Lake, CA (just outside Wrightwood). Students will be given a stipend of $2,500. Camp Lolek offers a wide array of jobs all pertinent to the running of a vibrant, successful summer camp. Further, this is our FOCUS most “missional” Summer Project. That is, jobs at this location are specifically oriented to advancing the gospel by building young men and women in the faith. Camp Lolek is a Catholic summer camp grounded in the thought of Pope Saint John Paul II. Food and lodging are provided. 

Contracted work: June 4th – August 13th, host 20 students.

Cost

Students must fundraise $2,600 to participate, which covers the cost of the formation program. Once you’re accepted into the program, you’ll be contacted by a missionary Fundraising Coach who will help you raise the amount needed. (Students also receive pay from the contracted businesses for their work throughout the summer.)
