My journey with FOCUS began when I was a student and encountered Christ in a way I had never thought possible; all leading me to where I am today, and now I have the incredible privilege to bring Christ to others! This is the beginning of my fifth year as a missionary! I am happy to say I am still in Denver, working in our Missions department! After serving the students at the University of Nebraska Kearney for 3 years, and having the privilege of serving as Team Director last year, I am so excited for this new opportunity! It’s been an absolute joy living and serving in Kearney; it feels like home in so many ways, and I’m excited to see what God has in store in Colorado! This role takes a lot of what I learned as a Team Director on campus and apply it to Mission Trips all over the world. I am coaching missionaries to direct trips where students and missionaries alike will encounter Jesus Christ and the Gospel through the eyes of Christ in the poor and His Church — I’d love to tell you about it!!

After experiencing my own conversion at Indiana University, my greatest desire was to remain close to Christ after college. Two years of “making my own plans” later, I heard God s call to missionary life. I have the opportunity to grow in union with God every day and lead others to the joy of a life with Him. I never thought that my job would care so much about the state of my soul! As a missionary with FOCUS, I strive daily to follow Jesus so closely as His disciple and teach others to do the same. By investing deeply in a few people, and teach them how to invest deeply in others, we are reaching the world with the Gospel! Every day is different and brings challenges of its own, but I couldn t be happier building up the Kingdom of Heaven! 

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
