FOCUS Internships

Our founder, Curtis Martin, had the rare opportunity to meet Pope St. John Paul II and express to him the hope and vision he had for FOCUS. The Pope listened and then told Curtis, “Be soldiers.”

As an intern with FOCUS, you can serve the mission while learning the skills that you'll use after graduation – whether that’s working as a full-time missionary with FOCUS or in a position within your area of study.

We recruit and hire interns from all over the U.S., with academic backgrounds from all across the board. Whether your interests lie in information technology, marketing, event planning, accounting or something else, we have an internship experience that fits your academic pursuits and professional growth.

The Mission:

To know Christ Jesus and fulfill the Great Commission.

FOCUS emphasizes the virtues of servant leadership across the entire organization. Our interns complete many behind-the-scenes tasks alongside hundreds of employees at the Denver Support Center so that our on-campus missionaries have the freedom to radically serve students with their entire lives. Interns are the backbone of our operations and are trained to be servant leaders and saints in normal, everyday life.

In addition to servant leadership, we want to foster a culture of holiness, happiness and learning among our interns. You will have the freedom to be curious, ask questions, and propose new ideas.

The Experience

Our internship program includes personal and professional development, daily prayer and Mass, time with FOCUS leadership, weekly Bible study, a weekly intern formation series, a personal retreat, mentorship and offsite excursions.

Here is an example of your daily schedule:

  • Team tactical meeting: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Are you in?

This is not your regular 9 – 5. This is a life-changing mission. The best part of it all is that we get to do this together. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we work as one family to bring hope to the world.
