Top 24 Catholics to Follow on Twitter plus 1 Protestant

Well, I signed up for what seems like an impossible and regrettable task – name the top 24 Catholics to follow on Twitter (plus one Protestant). Impossible because there are so many great people to follow and I’m only naming 24. Regrettable because surely I’ll leave off some very important and influential people.

Nonetheless, I want you to find great Catholics to follow on Twitter, so it’s worth it. The good news is that you can share who you think I left off in the comments section.

A few caveats before we begin:

  1. This is my own personal list of people I enjoy to follow. This is not an official FOCUS (@focuscatholic) approved list. I have obvious biases and preferences. Keep this in mind as look at the list. If I were my wife, I’d probably be following more homeschooling moms.

  2. I lean towards people who give a good pulse for what is going on in the Catholic world here in America. For instance, Jim Gaffigan is Catholic and on Twitter, but wouldn’t qualify for this list. Sorry Jim.

  3. I don’t necessarily agree with everything that they say or ever have said. By the way, I don’t agree with everything I’ve ever said either.

  4. Finally, I’m only listing human beings. Not organizations. Not apostolates. Not religious orders. Not media outlets. Not anonymous personas. Maybe those can be saved for another day.

Without further ado, here’s the list. Other than putting the clergy first, there is no particular order:

Fr. Mike Twitter profile is a bit here goes my version.

Catholic priest. College chaplain. Rockstar speaker. Lover of superheros.

The 1 Protestant! I'm sure I could name lots of our brothers and sisters in Christ outside the Catholic Church, but if I had to name one it would be Sammy. Followed by over 100,000 he is as witty as they come.

Well, that's my list. Who’s on yours? Who else do you want people to know about on Twitter? Comment below.
