I grew up Catholic in small town Nebraska and like a good Nebraskan does, became a Cornhusker and attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. It was there, at the Newman Center, that I encountered Christ in an extraordinary way through the Sacrament of Confession. It was then and there that I knew I needed to pursue Jesus with my heart and soul. I was very blessed to have had such an amazing ministry on campus at UNL. After graduation, I spent the next four years helping care for my Mom with MS and my aging Grandmother (Gram), whom I was very close with. Gram passed away in 2016 at the age of 96, the Lord started to nudge me through a a friend to explore becoming a missionary with FOCUS, and in 2017, I was sent to Minnesota State University – Mankato. I spent three years as a missionary, two years as the Ministry Director, and a year working in Philanthropy for the Newman Center. After the loss of my Mother in 2022 and getting engaged the same year, the Lord went to work prompting me again to explore a new path with FOCUS and now I’m here, as part of the Philanthropy Team, not as a missionary on campus, but as a missionary to those who support the mission of Jesus and His Church through FOCUS.

After six years working in Catholic campus ministry, I have more hope for the future of the Church than I’ve ever had. I’ve had a front row seat to lives being changed by Jesus for Jesus. The future is bright and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of it.
